We can help…
If you or someone you know is facing food insecurity in Cape Vincent, we warmly invite you to visit our local food pantry. We understand that times can be tough, and our team of volunteers are here to offer support and assistance without judgment.
We have a variety of nutritious food options available, and we’re committed to helping our community members in need. Remember, you are not alone—come by and let us help you find the resources you deserve!
What do I do first?
Step 1 : Give us a call! (315) 654-2438
Before we start providing assistance, we like to have a conversation to ensure that we’re meeting the needs of you and your household. We’ll ask about the number of members in your household, any food allergies, dietary needs or restrictions, etc. Every member of your household is entitled to enough food for you to prepare 21 meals a week (3 meals a day), plus extras. Anything extra is based on needs and availability. We’ll answer any and all questions you have about the pantry.
Step 2 : Food Order Sheet
During your initial call, we’ll take you through our order sheet and cater your first pickup to your taste. You’ll be able to choose from various fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, meats, grains, dairy products, and more. We’ll then set your first pickup date! (Tuesdays & Thursdays : See calendar below)
Step 3 : Residency Verification
We’ll ask you to gather some simple paperwork to verify that you live in the town or village of Cape Vincent. Please bring this with you when you come to the pantry for your initial pickup. It could be a utility bill, drivers license, etc…
Step 4 : Your first pickup!
When you arrive for your first pickup, we’ll have you verify and sign the TEFAP Attestation of Eligibility Sheet that was filled out for you during your initial call-in.

Each monthly pickup will include enough food to prepare 3 meals per day for each member of your household. We’ll do our best to give you a variety of items based on your tastes and preferences.
-
Certainly! When you call in to set your next pickup date, let the volunteer you speak with know of any changes you wish to make. The food we have available to offer is constantly changing.
-
Yes! Thanks to a generous grant from the United Way, we now offer the following items…
Laundry Detergent
Dish Soap
Spray Clean/Wipes
Toothpaste / Denture
Dental Floss
Lotion
Shampoo
Bar Soap / Body Wash
Deodorant
Maxi Pads / Tampons

Don’t hesitate to ask about items that you don’t see listed.
-
We do not purchase food for dogs or cats, but we do have a limited stock of wet and dry foods which were donated to us. Ask about this when you call, and we’ll do our best to help.
-
Delivery may be an option if you are unable to arrange to have your food picked up. Please call and speak with a member of the pantry if this is the case.
Deliveries are done on a case-by-case basis, as resources are limited.
